Description
How do we accurately represent real-world objects through geometry? This talk explores the underlying mathematics of Computer-Aided Geometric Design (CAGD) and the inherent difficulties in engineering stable geometry kernels. We will discuss the gap between theoretical geometry and the practical constraints of advanced manufacturing. Finally, I will present algorithms developed at Shapr3D, focusing on solutions for high-fidelity surfacing and achieving G^3 continuity.
