Keshav Aggarwal: Subconvexity bound problem for GL(3) L-functions

Abstract: We will give a history of the subconvex bound problem and
briefly discuss the progress made towards improving the subconvex
bound exponent in the t-aspect in the last 10 years. We will then
present a proof of the best known exponent in the t-aspect for a not
necessarily self-dual form. Finally, we will present some ideas to
further improve this bound. This is a work in progress, joint with
Ritabrata Munshi and Wing Hong (Joseph) Leung.
