Leírás
The next talk will take place on April 25th, 12.15-13.15, in the Tondós lecture room. As you might guess from the subject, it is going to be the first lecture of a three-part minicourse on classical and quantum optimal transport. The second and third lectures will be on May 2nd and May 23rd.
Concerning this occasion:
Speaker: Tamás Titkos
Title: A very brief introduction to classical optimal transport
- Abstract: In this talk, I will recall the basics of the theory of classical optimal transport. The main topics will be
- Monge's transport problem and Kantorovich's relaxation
- Kantorovich duality
- dynamical formulation
- basic properties of Wasserstein spaces
The talk aims to familiarize the audience with the classical results and prepare them for the (technically) much more challenging quantum version.
