Awards

Charles Simonyi Scholarship was established on the basis of an agreement between AMFK (the legal predecessor of the Zoltán Magyary Public Foundation for Higher Education),  the OM, the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and the Simonyi family to support scientific research.

The Claude E. Shannon Award was created to honor consistent and profound contributions to the field of information theory.

The Cor Baayen Young Researcher Award is awarded each year to a promising young researcher in computer science or applied mathematics.

The Coxeter–James Prize is presented annually by the Canadian Mathematical Society. The award is presented to young mathematicians in recognition of outstanding contributions to mathematical research. The first award was presented in 1978.
