Description
ABSTRACT:
We will discuss the recent work (November 2019) by Matomäki
and Teräväinen on the Möbius function in short intervals, which gives
an upper bound for intervals of length x^(0.55+epsilon). The exponent
0.55 marks an improvement over the previous record 7/12, due to
Ramachandra in 1976.
This is the continuation of Giacomo Cherubini's talk. On May 12 Antal Balog will
finish it.
