Description

Austrian-Hungarian Diophantine Number Theory seminar

Abstract: For a nonzero integer _n_, a set of distinct nonzero integers
_{a1,a2,...,am}_ such that _aiaj+n_ is a perfect square for all
_1≤i<j≤m_, is called a Diophantine _m_-tuple with the property
_D(n)_ or _D(n)_-set. The _D(1)_-sets are called simply Diophantine
_m_-tuples, and have been studied since the ancient times. In this talk
we will discuss the existence and the finiteness of Diophantine
_m_-tuples which are simultaneously _D(n)_-sets for some _n≥1_.
