Title: Splitting multi-ended quasi-transitive graphs

Abstract: Stallings’ splitting theorem says that a multi-ended finitely generated group splits over a finite subgroup (as free product with amalgamation or HNN-extension). We are generalising this theorem to locally finite quasi-transitive graphs. In order to do so, we introduce tree amalgamations, a notion due to Mohar that can be seen as a graph theoretical analogue of the above mentioned group products. In the end we will discuss some applications to various graph classes. This is joint work with Florian Lehner, Babak Miraftab and Tim Rühmann.
